20240516T1215 20240516T1300 America/Chicago Prototyping Accessible Description and Discovery in Alma and Primo: Some Learnings from the CARL-ARL Marrakesh Treaty Implementation Project The University of Florida and the University of Windsor, both members of large consortiums, participated in the Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL) -Association of Research Libraries (ARL) Marrakesh Treaty Implementation Project. In the project, we sought to investigate and prototype the possibilities that the Ex Libris library services platform allows to improve access to digital accessible books in EPUB, PDF and DAISY formats. This session will first provide an overview of some of the possibilities. we explored. We did not get to actually put our findings into prototyping due, in some cases, to existing limitations in how consortia were set up. There will be discussion time for participants to share their ideas and individual approaches in making digital accessible materials more available and discoverable in research library contexts.
