Oregon State University Libraries recently invested in several next-generation e-resource tools as part of our ongoing initiatives to optimize user experience and staff productivity. With LibKey, we saw an opportunity to reduce barriers to access by simplifying pathways to full text. Whether you are entirely unfamiliar with LibKey or have only just begun to investigate its utility for your Discovery layer, our presentation will be helpful as we are providing an overview of how various components Third Iron has tied together to form their LibKey system. We will share our experiences customizing Alma and Primo VE to integrate with LibKey and make it work with other customizations, such as HathiTrust Availability. We will also provide examples of how we have approached some troubleshooting challenges with maintaining our LibKey integration.
