During 2023, Creighton University Libraries completed a merger of their Health Sciences Library into Reinert Alumni-Memorial Library. This project included the combining of collections, materials, and staff into the Reinert physical space. Concurrently, the libraries undertook a significant collection development initiative and weeding project. These changes prompted the reconsideration of configuration choices made during migration seven years previously. During this reconfiguration, major data issues were identified. It was necessary to correct the data issues to restructure the fulfillment and resources components for the remaining Reinert, Law, and Phoenix Libraries. The Creighton Alma Systems team evaluated configurations such as fulfillment rules, locations, item policies, and material types. Library policies were adjusted and communicated as part of the project. We successfully implemented changes in a live environment during a short blackout period.
