CCU Libraries' Makerspace required a robust mechanism to support capturing and managing Makerspace check-ins and certifications. We developed a locally hosted web application to connect the Makerspace to both Alma and Primo. Alma provides a "notes" field for each patron, and the REST APIs provide a mechanism to update a patron record with certifications. Primo provides a presentation of the patron's certifications via My Library Card > Blocks + Messages. This session will discuss the admin web application, how we implemented the Alma REST APIs to query and update user data, and assessment via Alma Analytics.
