Two libraries from the Big Ten Academic Alliance will discuss their different approaches to usability testing and how those results inform their discovery decisions.This presentation will discuss how the University of Minnesota Libraries’ and Purdue Libraries’ usability projects were managed and conducted. The presenters will describe their collaboration strategy with outside partners, proposal creation, challenges in interpreting and acting on evaluation results, changing user expectations following the pandemic, and how usability testing results inform new features and enhancements to the Primo VE user experience. Additional system and user changes will also be covered including discovery presentation choices for Rapido.
