Detour Ahead: Building Bridges for Collections and Services During a Library Renovation

Session Information

In response to a planned two-year closure due to a building renovation project, members of the Robert E. Kennedy Library prepared and executed a collection move out and transition to temporary locations. This session will examine the processes for adding new locations and implementing locker pickup, changing availability for stored collections, and expanding our user data feed Student Information System (SIS) provisioning for distance learners. Presenters will discuss project management for adding locations, altering discovery configurations, and updating Alma letters to support users’ access to resources; showcase collection workflows leveraging sets, jobs, and work orders; and share tips for refreshing external user management and updating user statistical categories.
