Over the last year and a half, the Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL) worked to migrate away from a standalone ILL system that the vendor is sunsetting. As we were using and building a very strong Automated Fulfillment Network (AFN), we felt that the best option was to try to keep things self-contained within the Alma Resource Sharing workflows as much as possible. Come learn about our attempts to replace a standalone ILL system with Alma Resource Sharing, the gaps we have encountered, the problems we ran into, and what we needed to do in order to build a functional replacement for standalone ILL using only Alma’s built-in tools.
