Bridging the Gap Between Subject Librarians and Statistics Reporting: Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL) Dashboards

Session Information

In 2022, the Omni Consortium wondered how to prepare Resource Sharing statistics for the Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL). Our consortium has an Automated Fulfillment Network (AFN) where libraries might have Alma partners or NCIP partners, and some use RapidILL or Rapido. We wanted a tool that would work for everyone, no matter what combination of Resource Sharing tools they use. Come learn about the dashboard we developed that should be usable for every library that needs to submit CARL statistics, how our once simple Subject librarians’ requests for what part of our collection was being used became much more complicated, and hear how we built it by bringing together Resource Sharing specialists with Analytics specialists (even from beyond our consortium)!
