The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) Libraries are collaborating with the Texas Digital Library (TDL) to facilitate the integration of Alma-D metadata into DPLA. UTD Libraries’ Special Collections proudly curates the history of aviation collection. By making this metadata searchable through DPLA, UTD Libraries aim to broaden the discoverability and accessibility of these cultural resources on a global scale. TDL, with its experience in harvesting metadata from various digital asset management systems, seeks to extend this initiative to the Alma community, collaborating with Alma-D libraries. This presentation will discuss the challenges we faced and the lessons we learned from this impactful initiative.
