Libraries and library-serving organizations are experiencing shifts in what types of materials to purchase for libraries, needing to ensure that the materials meet their needs and their overarching institution's goals, and are dealing with new technologies all the time. Sometimes, staffing resources may need to shift or pivot to new areas to address these needs. Hear a presenter who is not an administrator or manager talk about how she became a team lead to support an area that needed more staff and began to pivot into a new role to replace an upcoming staff retirement. Leading the ERM Team relied on her existing knowledge. Preparing to accept the new Resource Sharing duties required collaborating with the person she would replace to create tools to capture the knowledge needed for that area. She'll discuss the different processes for deciding on a knowledge transfer plan solo and collaboratively.
