Bridges to and From Alma: Developing Integrations for Acquisitions, Fulfillment, Resource Management and Discovery

Session Information

Alma harbors a wealth of data beyond bibliographic records, which are crucial to a library's operations. This includes vendor, order, invoice, and patron data. Some of this information resides in external systems utilized by institutions. Creating bridges to these external systems and maintaining data synchronization is a critical function carried out by the University of Southern California (USC) Libraries' Integrated Library System team and Technical Services team. In this presentation, we will outline our projects, share experiences, and provide practical workflows implemented at USC Libraries. Our focus will be on integrating Alma with Workday Enterprise Management Cloud and streamlining our workflow processes.
