In late 2023, Northwestern University Libraries and The Block Museum of Art began a project to integrate museum collections into NUsearch, the library's branded Primo VE instance. The groundwork for this initiative began with the migration of The Block’s records to a new collections management system and public-facing website, launched in fall 2020. The website, hosted by Gallery Systems, allows the museum to make data about its collection publicly accessible via the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH). This presentation will cover every aspect of making this data available in Primo VE using an import profile for discovery, normalization rules, custom resource types, icons, and angular.js to inject messaging into the Primo VE UI.
