Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) at Clarivate: From Research to Real-World Applications

Session Information

Just over a year ago, the release of ChatGPT initiated the rise of generative AI and Large Language Models (LLM). This has brought about unparalleled advancements but also challenges across all sectors, including academia. In this session, we review Clarivate’s journey from researching and testing generative AI in our innovation lab to launching the first product beta programs, featuring a range of capabilities - from conversational discovery capabilities to automatic metadata enrichment. We will discuss the lessons learned from current AI programs and users' feedback to date, emphasizing the importance of generative AI that is grounded in trusted academic content. Libraries, long-standing pillars of knowledge, have an essential part in the responsible application of AI. We will introduce Clarivate’s AI Advisory Council and discuss the various opportunities for community partnership. Lastly, we'll provide a sneak peek into our future plans.
