Introduction to using APIs in Alma

Session Information

This session will offer a demonstration of how to create an API key and how to limit the functionality of the API. Then , you will be shown how APIs can be used to retrieve an analytics report in XML, retrieve data from Alma, create sets, receive an on-order item, and run an import profile.

Note that this session will not include building applications that use the APIs but will show how the APIs can be run and tested using the Ex Libris Developers Network, which is the first step before building a specific application. We will, therefore, see the specific syntax needed for the different APIs.
