Tutorial to Develop a Simple Forward Proxy Service

Session Information

Coastal Carolina University Libraries presently uses OpenAthens (OA) as our identity and access management service for electronic resources. When OA fails for individual resources or catastrophically, it's critical to have a backup service because OA support often takes >24H to respond. This session will discuss how to develop a simple forward proxy service using both Apache's httpd web server and the PHP scripting language such that the proxy service aligns with Alma's "Resolver Proxy" configurations.
