Comparing print and online journal holdings, coverage, and usage can be a headache. The data is in various Analytics subject areas, and combining reports can take time and expertise. In the interest of creating an always-available solution usable by any staff, we built an Analytics dashboard that combines data from the Physical inventory, E-inventory, Fulfillment and Usage (COUNTER) subject areas. SQL- and variable-driven prompts allow staff to choose titles and usage years they are interested in comparing. Queries return information about print and online holdings, coverage data, and usage data in the same report. As a result, staff no longer have to run reports in multiple subject areas or search for online information in the public catalog. Analytics techniques used include: dashboards, presentation variables, unions, SQL queries, dashboard prompts, bins, and saved filters.
